Basic Function: Customer Service encompasses the administration of customer service programs and can include technically trained individuals working directly with customers. It also consists of the development and implementation of proactive programs responsive to customer requirements and includes the co-ordination of investigations of complaints and assisting to achieve equitable solutions.

Typical duties/responsibilities for business development may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Update ABB product installed base information in "ServIS" installed base database by customer location.

Provide reports of installed base information by customer, by product line, geographic region, etc. as requested by business development personnel, sales team, and management

Track and assist in reporting on key metrics for Customer service (e.g. site surveys, service agreements, other KPIs, etc.)

Support Customer Service management and Business development personnel with specific tasks as required to develop service business and drive sales

Review and analyze customer specifications. Coordinate input from other departments to develop responses to customer requirements. Simultaneously process information on multiple and varied projects, and respond effectively to changes in priorities.

Complexity of Tasks: Requires knowledge of the organization's products, channel partners, and customers. Required to learned to learned utilized installed base database tool and MS office tools for analysis and reporting. Interfacing with other groups requires ability to communicate effectively. Work is subject to general overview to ensure quality.

Qualifications: Associates degree in business or technical field related field and 2 to 5 years of experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments. Will except entry level college graduates with bachelors degrees in marketing or business.
