CAE Engineer

  • You will provide CAE(Thermal and Structure) support to Program team
  • The ideal candidate for this position should be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment, be highly responsible, has sense of urgency, able to handle stress, emergency work and heavy work load
Essential Duties
  1. Perform CAE Engineer Liaison role, supporting program team to interface with US OEM customers regarding all CAE related topics, attending customer review meetings as needed
  1. Internally mainly interface with Design Engineers, other CAE Engineers
  1. Starting from being assigned to the program through about 3 months after Validation Test Completion as the first point of CAE Engineer contact of the project to both internal and external teams; The rest time of product lifecycle, CAE Engineer supports/assists Program team as needed
  1. Responsible for multiple vehicle exterior lighting programs (Headlamp + Fascia Lamp +Tail Lamp+ Deck lid Lamp+ CHMSL) Thermal and Structure CAE analysis: ;
  1. Support Program team on CAE related Open Issues until Issues being fully solved, make presentations for team design review and open issue communication if needed
  1. Participate early morning or nightly tele conference with HQ team to review CAE related Project Design & Engineering issues if required
  1. Strictly follow external and internal Meeting Minutes to complete assigned work as planned
  1. Implement “Design For Manufacturing” and Cost Saving requirements into first consideration of work
  1. At new project quotation phase, provide quick turnaround CAE analysis support to engineering and sales team.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  1. B.S Degree in Design/Engineering/Technical field is required
  2. Able to interface within internal and external team in a Professional way is a must
  3. Strong Coordinating Skills is required, global cross-discipline team members and customer in an efficient way, able to work with various technical levels of individuals
  4. Self driven and high Responsibility on work is a required
  5. Sense of Urgency is required
  6. Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks & projects at the same time is required
  7. Attention to details and the ability to meet internal and external timing is required
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required
  9. Strong PC aptitude including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required
  10. Able to attend international conference Meetings in evening or early morning is required
  11. Able to work overtime if required
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Master’s Degree in Design/Engineering/Technical field
  2. CAE experience by using FloEFD etc.,
  3. CATIA/NX Design experience in Automotive Industry, prefer plastic parts experience
  4. Experience in: LED’s, Xenon, Halogen, Incandescent Bulbs, Optics, Electronics, Thermal & Structure CAE, etc.,
