Project Scheduler

The Project scheduler opportunity to join fast growing Packaging team in our Lake Mary, FL office. In this role you will have opportunity to work on multiple projects that deliver complete engineered electrical packages for Utilities, EPC’s and Industrial clients primarily for medium and low voltage applications by integrating various  and non products into E-houses. Working closely with Project Managers and internal/external suppliers, the project scheduler will be responsible to create and maintain project schedules in MS Project for all activities required to successfully deliver the assigned projects.

Main Accountabilities:
1. Create project schedules based on the defined execution philosophies
2. Perform internal/external vendor schedule reviews for contract schedule conformance
3. Maintain and track the schedules for the various phases of project development and delivery by working closely with the internal/external suppliers and project team
4. Track and update project related activities against the baseline schedule
5. Prepare detailed schedule reports as required including “what-if” scenarios, critical path view, baseline vs actual view, look ahead view and milestone view
6. Review and evaluate supplier recovery schedules
7. Collaborate with engineering, quality, internal/external suppliers and  service team in conducting project planning and resource allocation

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
• 2-year college degree in engineering, business, construction/project management or related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ of experience as a Project Scheduler of Large scale construction/Industrial/Power Plant projects ($1M+)
• High level of proficiency with MS Project, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
• Theories, principles and practices of scheduling
• Proficiency in developing, resource loading, analyzing and reporting on project schedules
• Experience in overall duration, coordination of design engineering, manufacturing, construction, start-up/commissioning projects preferred
• Strong analytical capabilities, with a basic understanding of statistical analysis techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills, independent problem resolution
• Ability to plan and organize work to effectively perform assigned tasks in a timely manner
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines and with internal and external resources
• Interacts with the global team members well and is a team player
• High energy, driven and enthusiastic about opportunities to establish and implement new approaches
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Up to 20% travel may be required on some projects
