Responsibilities:

Set up and operation of machine tools such as mills, lathes, grinders, and drill press.
Read blueprints and machines metallic and nonmetallic parts to print tolerances.
Calculate feeds and speeds, adjusts for cutting conditions to optimize processing.
Perform PM on machines and maintains the housekeeping of the work area to the 5S shop standard.
Clearly communicate technical information to other machinists and managers. Note: This list of responsibilities is by no means inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities. Requirements: 1-3 years prior industrial experience preferred. Trained to run typical shop equipment such as lathe, mill, grinder, and drill press. Educational Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent required.
