Proposal Engineering Coordinator

Proposal Engineering Coordinator to support the growth of our Service and Spare Parts business. The purpose of this position is to manage the administrative responsibilities associated with processing sales and quotes.
 
Core duties
  • Pull quote numbers and maintain quoting database
  • Prepare quote approval request documents per Company procedures
  • Download prints to support spare parts quoting efforts
  • Send prints to suppliers or internal Project Buyers to obtain pricing for spare parts
  • Create spare parts orders and create requisitions in the SAP system
  • Generate presentation material to support sales efforts
  • Create or release bills of material to generate requisitions
  • Run material follow-up reports for service orders to support project management
  • Verify requisitions are processed to ensure orders are placed on time
 
Candidate specification
  • Minimum of an associate’s degree in a related field (i.e. business-centric)
  • Entry level; 1-2 years of experience working in a related role (i.e. material planner, buyer, cost estimator, project management, detailer, etc.)
  • Automation industry experience not required, but preferred
  • Functional knowledge of blueprint reading to support spare part identification and ordering
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Experience working in Excel
 
Duration of assignment
  • Continuous contract with direct-hire potential dependent on individual and organizational performance
 
Work hours
  • Monday – Friday, 8am – 5 pm (flexible on start / stop times)
  • 40 - 45 hours per week
  • Minimal travel (5%) to local suppliers
