Warren, MichiganSummary: The CNC Machinist is responsible for the operation of CNC (computer numerically controlled) equipment to machine raw material or fabrications into a finished detail.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and operating CNC (computer numerically controlled) machines
- Run and edit programs created by the CNC programmer
- Capable of changing tools as needed
- Load and unload machine to maintain production output
- Deburr and complete finish operations as needed
- Ensure inbound and completed stock material is organized and placed in proper storage locations
- Ensure individual tasks are executed in the most effective manner in regards to time, cost and function
- Ensure assigned work is completed based on work requirements utilizing engineering drawings, programs and manuals as necessary
- Provide accurate time reporting for assigned activities through our ERP system
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 5+ years of vocational shop experience preferred
- 3+ years of CNC Machinist experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and successfully layout equipment according to prints
- Team player, able to take direction and be self-directed when needed
- High regard for safety standards
- Strong written and oral communication skills
